Measuring the quality of academic advising in Faculty of Science and Arts in Shrorh from the students' point of view. (Evaluation study)

Abstract

The study aimed to get acquainted with the measurement of the quality of academic advising in the College of Arts and Sciences in Shrorh, with its evils from the students' point of view. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher followed the descriptive method, using the questionnaire as a tool for study. The study sample consisted of (284) students who were randomly selected. The study data was analyzed statistically by using (SPSS). The main findings of the study were: the level of quality of academic advising in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences with a high degree of urgency. The study also showed that there are statistically significant differences between the arithmetic averages in the extent of the quality of academic advising from the point of view of male and female students at the level of (0.05), and showed that there were no differences Statistical significance among male and female students according to specialization (scientific, literary) in the extent of the quality of academic advising at the level of (0.05). The most important recommendations of the study: Work on organizing training courses for academic advisors to improve the performance and effectiveness of their mentoring to students.
