Abstract

The study aims to clarify the civilizational image of Islam by explaining the factors of civilized advancement and the divine-norms that the Qur’an guided us to in achieving that. Accordingly, the title of the research was “Factors of civilized Advancement: Allah’s Divine-Norms-Based Study in Light of the Holy Koran” In addition, the research aims to draw the attention of Muslims in particular and people in general to the Qur’an and its noble verses, and its fixed norms related to advancement, civilization and change, and doing the effective reasons to achieve them in reality. The study is an attempt to contribute directly to adopting the paths of advancement as instructed by the Noble Qur’an. The analytical inductive approach is used due to its suitability for the research.

The research consisted of an introduction and four sections:

The first section: the definition of the study terms.

The second section: The factors of civilized advancement related to the building a good person starting directly from revelation to recent time in the light of the Noble Qur’an.

The third section: The factors of civilized advancement related to possessing the causes of power and elimination of the causes of weakness in light of the Noble Qur’an.

The fourth section: Other factors of the civilizational advancement of the nation in the light of the Noble Qur’an.

This was addressed in ten sub-sections.

The research ended with the conclusion that included the most important findings and recommendations, then the sources and references.

The most important findings are:

The divine-norms mentioned by the Noble Qur’an are not changing, they are fixed and do not favor anyone. The divine-norms of advancement concern the entire nation. That is why the summons in the Noble Qur’an came in the plural form that necessitate collective action. and civilized advancement is based on factors that are related to the building the righteous person, the source of receiving, the possessing the causes of strength and elimination of the causes of weakness, and clarity of vision, as indicated by the verses of the Qur’an. If these factors are all made available and the impediments stopped to exist, the desired advancement will be achieved. In addition, the achievement of civilizational advancement by the Muslims and their contribution to civilization is a legitimate and vital duty. The civilized advancement based on the Holy Qur’an is not based on wishes, but on serious and continuous work.
