Missionaries and Islamic Culture, Analytic Study

Abstract

Research problem: The research problem revolves around the attitude of Missionaries towads the Islamic culture.

Research Targets:

• To identify the Missionaries attitude towards other cultures other then the Western one.
• To know the attitude of Missionaries towards the Islamic culture.
• knowing the real role of Missionaries in westernization.

Method used in this research: the analytic method 

Research divisions: The Research contains an introduction, preface, four topics and a conclusion. The introduction talks about the important of the topic, the reasons behind choosing it, the research problems, its targets, previous studies and the research methods and plans. The preface explains the Missionary and its alike and explains the Islamic culture. The first topic is about the The missionaries attitude towards non Western cultures. The second topic is about the missionaries position from the Islamic culture. Third topic is about the missionaries role in Westernization. The fourth topic is about the Missionaries and Muslims unity and language. The conclusion which contains the results and the recommendations.

The most important results:

• The missionaries took a hostile attitude towards any other culture other then the western one. They see that Christianity doesn't agree with any other culture other than the Western one.
• The Islamic culture has received the lions share of the Missionaries hostility, defamation and rejection. That was in the first stage of their attitude towards it.

In the second stage Missionaries hid their rejection to the Islamic culture and decided to continue with their missionary through it.
