An Inventory of a Digital Citizenship Concepts for the Yemeni Basic Education Stage

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an inventory of the digital citizenship concepts (DCCs) for the curricula of Yemeni basic education stage (YBESCs), i.e. 1-9 grades. To this end, Two-Round Delphi Technique was used by using the Questionnaire. The questionnaire (i.e. 54 concepts for the first round, and 76 concepts for the second round) was exposed to ten educational experts and academic members of the Yemeni universities. Among the most important findings of this study is: Only (52) of DCCs are appropriate for the YBESCs (1); Only nine concepts from (52) are appropriate for (1-3) grades' curricula of the YBESCs (2); Only (17) concepts are appropriate for (4-6) grades' curricula of the YBESCs (3); All the concepts of the inventory that resulted from the 2nd-round of Delphi Technique are appropriate for (7-9) grades of the YBESCs (4).
