Abstract

This study aimed to develop a proposed vision to activate the role of the social worker in the medical field in Aden Governorate. It is related to individual cases and at the level of both groups and society. As well as to practice the principles of social service in this field and the extent of the existence of statistically significant differences at a significance level of (0.05). It includes attributing to the independent variables of the study (gender, age groups, profession, educational level). The two researchers formulated questions that reflect the three objectives the study (the corresponding observation questionnaire), The study included a theoretical framework that included concepts related to (role, social service in the medical field, health socially, the medical institution), the goals of social service in the medical field and its philosophy, and the previous studies, The researcher used the statistical program namely; (spss) to analyze the data and approach the interpretation of the findings, The study concluded with the most important findings that are consistent with this perception in order to achieve acceptance of activating the role of a social worker in the medical field. Particularly, in medical institutions to a large degree with an arithmetic average (2.76) and that the acceptance of his practice is LMP, The performance of social service was better than his exercise of roles with a general arithmetic average (2.88). It is followed by the acceptance of activating the social worker roles at the group level with an arithmetic average (2.74). Finally the activation of his roles with individual cases with an arithmetic average (2.71), The two researchers set the foundations of the proposed vision, its objectives, the requirements for implementing the proposed vision, and then recommendations and proposals that they hope to be taken into consideration so that the community will recognize this profession in the medical field in Aden Governorate.
