Methods of socialization prevalent in early childhood from the point of view of nannies in Bisha

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the methods of socialization prevalent in early childhood from the point of view of nannies in Bisha and to find out whether there were statistically significant differences in the socialization methods prevalent in early childhood educators in Bisha due to the following variables: the difference of kindergartens, training courses proposed for the nannies, years of experience, and scientific qualification. The study population consists of all kindergarten teachers in Bisha for the academic year (2017-2018), which are (227) nannies. The researchers used a questionnaire consisting of (61) paragraphs. To  answer the study questions, the statistical techniques were used including  arithmetical averages, standard deviations, percentages, T test, mono-variance analysis, and remote tests.

     The study concluded the following results:

  • According to the answers of Bisha kindergarten educators, the degree of practice of all methods of socialization prevailing in early childhood came at a (very high).
  • The third area has been ranked first, followed by the seventh that related to democratic field followed by the second. Then comes the first field “the protection method”, followed by the eighth area of cruelty. Then the sixth of Independence, followed by the fourth of authoritarianism, and finally the fifth sphere, the sphere of demonstration.
  • There were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of nanies in Bbeisha relating to practice of early socialization methods in early childhood due to the variables of Kindergarten type and of training courses in the field of education.
  • There were statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of the nanies in Bbeisha on the practice of the early socialization methods in the early childhood of the questionnaire as a whole and all fields (except the fifth and sixth fields) due to difference in years of experience, with the trend of those differences was in favor of the responses of nanies with more than 10 years experience.
  • There were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of nanies in Bbeisha on the practice of the methods of socialization prevailing in early childhood due to the difference of the scientific qualification variable for the whole instrument and all fields except the seventh area, where the statistical significance for the benefit of educators with the qualification of educational diploma
