Abstract

     The aim of this research is to identify the contributions of social work to reducing the risks of cybercrime. The research adopted a comprehensive descriptive survey approach on the 68 members of the educational body at the College of Social work, Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, and the electronic questionnaire was applied. Research personnel on the social factors that lead to the commission of cybercrimes from the point of view of faculty members, and the most prominent of them are (the wide and varied spread of anonymous electronic links) And that there is agreement among the research personnel on the preventive roles of social work in curbing cybercrime, and the most prominent of these roles is (spreading awareness among members of the Saudi society, especially youth and adolescents, of the dangers of cybercrime), and that there is agreement among research individuals on the therapeutic roles of social work in the limit. Among the electronic crimes, and the most prominent of these roles is (seeking the help of experts in programs to combat cybercrime). In addition, among the proposals that increase the contributions of the social work in reducing electronic crimes is (activating the electronic social service to receive guidance counseling).
