Abstract

The approach of the Sunnis is a middle ground in the chapter on the name of faith and issues of names and rulings, between the warning and the Murji’ah, as they worked the texts of the promise and the warning, and did not give them the presumptuous premises, which led its owners to distort the purpose of the law. Imam Ibn Taymiyyah was distinguished by controlling the articles of the predecessors in the chapters of belief in general, and the chapter on promises and threats in particular, as well as by identifying the origin of the suspicion of the opponents in this chapter and others, and invalidating it, and by invalidating the foundation invalidates what was built upon. The aim of the research is twofold: the first; Editing speech in these issues related to names and rulings, in which the one who does not control the speech and understands the intent of the Shari’a with it has fallen into a mistake in opinion and position. The second; Highlighting the efforts of this imam in this section, as he is one of the influential Muslim imams in the method of science and advocacy in our contemporary time, in establishing the moderation of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah in deciding issues of religion, the most prominent of which is the issue of faith and unbelief, and refuting the doctrines of the extremists in this section.
