Abstract

The research aims to identify Ahmed Ibn Alwan's issues of mental education. This has been done through searching for the procedural goals which were crystallized to follow up the content of Ahmed Ibn Alwan's books and also through the analyses of those who wrote about the topic which is in harmony with this research.

 

     The research depends on the analytical and the historical methods. The analytical method is used to organize and analyze related texts. The analytical method refers to the most important historical references related to the topic of the research.

 

     The research concluded that Ahmed Ibn Alwan's issues of mental education are; mind is the light of Holy Presence, the first mind is the origin of knowledge, authority of the mind, and rejection of tradition.

 

     The research recommends that educational institutions might include Ahmed Ibn Alwan's mental, intellectual and educational production and the production of other men of religious, political, and social reform.
