Abstract

This research aimed to collect the preferences of Al-Damadi in Surah An-Nisa in his interpretation and arranging, studying, and comparing them with other interpreters’ preferences, in addition, showing the right opinion and the Hadiths adopted, and finally identify the rules which were relied on by the Al-Damadi. This research included an introduction and a topic and was divided into two topics and demands. The first topic was devoted to the personal and scientific brief of the interpreter and the importance of his interpretation, while the second topic was devoted to the heart of the topic and its core, which is the theoretical and applied study in Surah An-Nisa, then a conclusion

This research concluded several results including:

First: Al-Damdi's preferences in the Sunnah in Surat An-Nisa were six. He prefered two in Sahih al-Bukhari, one in Sahih Muslim, one in al-Bukhari and Muslim, and one in Al-Mustadrak ala al-Sahihayn. Al-Damdi was careful with the hadiths of the Prophet, and his references regarding them were among the mothers of hadith books, so he narrated from them, and held to the evidence when found without bias.

Second: Al-Damadi agreed with the interpreters in four preferences, and he disagreed with them in one and combined the sayings in one. Al-Damdi is considered among those who decided the preference rules considered by scholars through its applications in preference between the sayings of the interpreters
