Praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and after.
This study included an investigation of a manuscript entitled: “Ghaniya Al-Mubtada in Explanation of the Conditions of the Imam and Al-Muqtada on the Doctrine of Imam Al-Shafi’i, by Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Yassin bin Abdul Ghani Al-Shafi’i, Shihab Al-Din Al-Habrawi, (deceased: 1224 AH).
The study aimed to identify the conditions of the Imam and the Muqtada in prayer, according to the Shafi'i school of thought.
This study was divided into an introduction, and two parts: The first part: which is the study part: I dealt with an introduction to the research, in which I knew the manuscript, the importance of achieving it, the reason for choosing it, its problem, questions, objectives, previous studies, its method, and procedures, and the research plan was presented in it.
Then I knew the author of the text, and mentioned his name, lineage, birth, upbringing, elders, disciples, books, his practical life and biography, his belief and doctrine, his scientific status, the scholars’ praise of him, and his death.
Then it was known in the text, from the mention of its relation to its author, its subject, and its value, and it was exposed to the author’s approach, and its evaluation by mentioning its advantages and disadvantages.
In the second section, which is the section on practical investigation, the importance of this manuscript appeared in practice. And its abundant scientific material, and the original sources relied upon, the manuscript has many advantages. Its author, may God be pleased with him, is a great imam of the great scholars of the thirteenth century AH, and he dealt with the issue of the conditions of the imam and the muqtada in prayer, according to the Shafi’i school.
Then it was followed by a conclusion that showed the most important results and recommendations that occurred in this study.
